Quite some time ago, I made a forum RPG called Myagends. It was set in a universe where mythological creatures weren't mythological. In this world there were 4 types of people. Normal people, obviously. Myara, who could imitate the abilities of nearby creatures. Hunters, who were each born with knowledge of how to hunt and utilize 2 types of creatures. And Myagends, each linked for life to one creature born at the same time as they were. They take on the life span and some of the traits of their partners and can communicate with them even if other humans can't.

This is the story of one of those people.

So, some administrative tasks.

1. I will be posting last week's story today, as you can see.

2. I will be posting this week's story tomorrow.

3. For missing last week (by choice, by the way) I will be posting a penalty story Monday.

With that out of the way, my next short story isn't quite the usual thing. It doesn't really end so much. And there's a reason for that. This story is the prologue for what I intend to be the first major game I design. So it's kind of narrated and kind of unresolved.

Man did I have fun writing this one. It's purely my two favorite things in the world.

1. Dialogue

2. Character creation.

It's also technically dipping into a well I already drew from, but this idea (in its much different original form) hit me and I just HAD to work with it.
